Project Codename: Theophilus

Overview

This was our first ever project. In 2024, we sent 43 audio Bibles to our partners. This was a milestone project for Regent World Mission because it proved that the concept was effective and it paved the way for future, larger audio Bible projects.

Solar-powered audio Bibles are a particularly good fit for this region in Asia since they can accommodate multiple indigenous languages on a single device, they do not require electricity, they are discreet, and they do not require literacy. Our partners in Asia distribute the audio Bibles for free to other Christians or people interested in exploring the Christian faith.

Testimonies

Khalid* and Ahmed*

After Khalid found Jesus he made his way back to the mountains having a heart not to hurt anyone but to spread Jesus' message in his hometown. he has been sharing with his people even though there is a significant risk of his life. Khalid said, "when I was saved i realized that our life true purpose is all about the love and care that Jesus has taught us. To love God and one another, to be a servant of God, and to serve

his people." 

Khalid shared with his close family members and his tribal friends whom he trusts. He has faced resistance in the start but God has moved the hard hearts and made them soft now. While he shared with his close ones, he founded a group there which meets regular basis to learn about Jesus. Listening to an audio Bible and understanding. Khalid have a uncle, his name is Ahmed. Ahmed is one of the top leaders of the rebel freedom fighters, he has a very frightening stories of his fights, he has been serving more than 30 years of his life for their fights. His killings, his nature makes him to think it's impossible for a person with this background can be saved, but for God our savior everything is possible. Ahmed and his tribe is well known for freedom fights and have succeeded in many fights in his hometown.

Ahmed met Khalid while he shared with many close people in his friend and family

circle. One day, while he was talking to his friends Ahmed came to him. It was

very strange for Ahmed to listen to the Bible. He was so confused and asked many questions from Khalid like: "what is it that you are trying to make us listen to? which is talking about angels, God, creation, heaven, and hell." 

Ahmed said, "when you play this it feels there is a supreme power who knows that we are sinful and we have corrupted ourselves in fighting and killings, thinking that our own blood will wash our sins because we are fighters of our land." 

It took days and nights for Ahmed to understand about the Heavenly God, then

something amazingly changed. Ahmed made a hard decision in his life. He handed his

AK-47 rifle, taking his whole family to Khalid, they came to be believers of Jesus.

Ahmed cried and said, "All my past years are filled with sins and you are the person who knew what our life's purpose was. Now i am aged. I don't want to be in sin, I want to accept peace and i have six sons whom I was preparing to be great fighters in my hometown, but now i want to prepare them to be warriors of Jesus."
